My toolbelt in design always expands; I have job experience as a game designer and many years of experience developing my design skills.
While my background in design is in computer games, I believe my talents are versatile enough to adapt to other areas of digital design, such as graphic design or web design.
Below is a list of design-related software I have been practising for many years:
Photoshop and Illustrator
Video editing including Premiere
Unity and Unreal Engine
As well as software, I am capable of writing documentation for my design work.
With my natural desire to explore and learn with my passion for technology and DIY attitude. I have entered my design and QA roles with a technological mind which has been used as an advantage for efficiency and figuring out how to solve issues quickly, dig deeper into my roles and assist my peers.
As a game designer with Unity not only am I capable of visual scripting, but I am able to code games in C# which is also my primary way of creating games.
I have a year of industry experience in the QA Department for the well-known publisher Team17. During my tenure, I tested and released several games with my name in the credits of two games.
I can confidently set up and install builds for every eighth and ninth-generation console’s dev kits, conduct and accurately follow test plans and provide solid exploratory/destructive testing.
In my year at QA, I had successfully created hundreds of detailed bug reports and regressed just as many.
